The “Lone Strangers” are a team of 4 capable and determined individuals who have decided to take on the challenge that is the 2015 Put foot Rally.
Our team, along with participant from across the country, will venture through Southern Africa in a vintage VW, restored by the team, all in support of Charity.
The 2015 edition of the Put Foot Rally will be held from the 15th of June to the 2nd of July 2015. The team will travel from Cape Town, South Africa, through Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique, covering a distance of 8,000km.
During the rally the Lone Strangers will be supporting the Put Foot Foundation; a charity dedicated to giving kids ‘Hope, Pride and Dignity’ – the foundations of a positive future. The Foundation gifts brand new South African made school shoes to young underprivileged learners in South Africa, not only once, but for good. The Put Foot Foundation has gifted over 10,000 pairs of shoes in just 2 years from the generosity of Put Footers!
The Put Foot Rally’s Supporting Charity policy takes a leading role in the tourism industry, by encouraging others to contribute and preserve our incredible continent that provides millions every year, with an ‘African Experience’ that future generations may also share in our beautiful land in the future.
Our aim is raise funds for wildlife conservation and school shoes, which we’ll deliver during the event!
The Lone Strangers will be supporting charity in the following ways:
- Each Put Footer is required to raise a minimum of R1,000
- The first R1,000 raised must be donated to the official rally charity, the Put Foot Foundation
- Each crew is free to support a charity of their choice once we’ve raised the initial R4,000.
